Digital is my preference to shoot . Mostly because you can just delete if it didn't turn out right. I think film cameras are pretty unique, too. Which I try to simulate with plugins and filters.
I'm pretty happy with the setup I have. I use both Nikon D40 & 300. For lens, mostly used 70-300 VR, and Tamron 28-75 2.8. lens (for long shots and wide angle). When I don't feel like using both cameras I'll use the 18-200. The Tamron 200-500 for moon shots and stationary birds & 105 for macros. The rest of the lens look pretty sitting in my bag. They do occasional get some use to get them out of their comfort zones.
