Winter nearly over 02/25/2011
Or at least by the calendar. Outside the weather is like a mad man, calm, then unpredictable. It nearly fits the description of cabin fever. Wikipedia describes the symptoms as to /includes:restlessness, irritability, irrational frustration with everyday objects, forgetfulness, laughter, excessive sleeping, distrust of anyone they are with, and an urge to go outside even in the rain, snow or dark. Haaaa! Wait-that's me! & probably describes every other sane person who lives in a winter season. Well at least the madness will end soon, at least for a season, lol. In the meantime-think I'll put more wood in the stove and enjoy the warmth and the wild weather 'tween winter & spring.... Add Comment Checking In.... 01/25/2011
Helloooo, Its about time I did a little updating. Time is so elusive. I've added a new page-Winter Landscapes updated a few links, changed some page order, refined and corrected my English. Also in process of setting up a store front with my photography. Research, learn, research, learn, not simple as I thought, but will get there! I'm thinking of Zazzle and Redbubble (clicking on the links open in another tab). I could use some personal knowledge and wisdom. Anybody??? :0 :) Aside that-what am I doing these days? With being in the midst of winter, hibernating, keeping warm and venturing out only when the roads are safe! I should be doing winter cleaning with all the time spent inside, have to have a laugh on that one, ha ha, :). For which I have to wonder what's everyone else is doing? Would be glad to hear about your winter ventures! As always, I'd love hear your feedback, comments, suggestions--anything really!!! WoW, I'm so bad... 08/06/2010
I'd like to apologize to those who have been here and wasn't able to leave a message and for the total absence of my presence. I wanted to make a site & a few blogs to share my photography and to make friendships through it. I will be making some changes & updates over the next few weeks. I hope that I can keep up with your expectations. Thank you all for visiting.... Morning Journal Newspaper... 02/20/2010
A local newspaper has made a couple videos and are up on You Tube...These are photos from 'users' who have submitted photos to the site and these were chosen in mind with the snow storm we had here a few weeks ago...There's a few of mine there. It was time to take Darius home-We had the pleasure of having him with us for a week or so visit. I think he was ready...On our way we stopped by Geneva State Park and got a breathtaking view of frozen waves on the beach. The following day, my DIL and I went to Headlands Park Beach-got some waves there too...Boy was that cold! We lasted for the walk out and maybe 10-15 minutes of shooting. We were crazy for not thinking to grab a hat or cap, we may have been there longer....coooold! More photos added to the update page.Animated Gif 01/20/2010
I was inspired to try another animated gif with a contest on ChristianWebDesigners, but it was not meant to be entered-just a challenge to myself. It was fun trying to make the creek flow A process in the learning inspired by curiousity and how it works....Photoscape program used and the same picture for all frames... On another note, I have been pretty much home, we had a houseful this weekend and all 3 of my grandkids were together, I was in Grandma heaven...I had the pleasure of waking up with two that stayed overnight, they were up while it was still dark outside and everyone sleeping...I brought out the flash light to keep them entertained...I didn't want to use the flash-and figure I would shoot with out it-meaning a really slow shutter, didn't have time and really wasn't thinking about setting up a tripod or taking pictures until I saw how cool it looked both of them sitting there in that dim light in a room full of dark.... Promise of sunshine... 01/14/2010
![]() The pre-sunrise glow on the hill across shows promise of what the day will be like...A much needed different pace after what seems like days of gray skies...Since I love morning I use it as a compass and to get going before the sun rises too much more. Sets the mood of anticipation and excitement... First Post! 12/22/2009
